Refund policy

At Onyx & Opal Jewelry, artisans custom-create each piece to reflect your unique sizing and specifications. Because of this personalized approach, we do not maintain pre-made inventory. Each item we sell is uniquely procured and crafted for you. Once we begin to physically craft your jewelry we will not be able to issue a refund. We also recognize that for many reasons a customer may want or need to cancel their order and request a refund. For this reason any order can be cancelled for up to 72 hours after the order is placed and a full refund will be issued. 

At Onyx and Opal, we prioritize our customers' satisfaction and are committed to quality. Please review the full return policy below:
  1. Order refunds, cancellations & modifications
    • You can cancel your order for any made-to-order product within 72 hours of placing it. We will not craft your product any sooner than 72 hours (unless you place a rush order).
    • You can request changes to fully custom designs up until you approve the final picture/video model. Deposits for custom designs are non-refundable.
    • For fully custom orders, once final approval is given, you’ll have a 24-hour window to make last adjustments or cancellations. Once this 24-hour period ends, we proceed with production, and your order becomes final and non-refundable.
  2. Defects Upon Receipt
    • If you receive your jewelry with any defects, you must let us know within 7 days of delivery. We’ll arrange a repair or replacement to ensure you’re fully satisfied. We fully inspect and photograph all orders before shipment.
  3. Lifetime Workmanship Warranty
    • We offer a lifetime artisan warranty on all pieces to cover any defects craftsmanship defects. This warranty does not include normal wear and tear, accidents, or misuse. 
  4. 2-Year materials Warranty
      • For added confidence, we provide a 2-year warranty on material defect, covering stones and precious metal. If any material issues arise within two years of purchase, we’ll repair your piece at no cost to you (excludes shipping). Original purchase receipt is required.
  5. Additional Repairs
    • We offer repair services for any damage outside the above warranty or for issues not covered by warranty. These repairs are available for a reasonable service fee.

Once return is approved, we’ll send you a return shipping label, as well as instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted and returned to you postage due.
